March has been a whirlwind of conversations about AI governance, accountability, and the future of responsible technology. One of the highlights was SXSW 2025, where I had the opportunity to speak on the panel “Rebooting AI from the Ground Up.”

During the discussion, we tackled some of the most pressing challenges in AI today—rethinking governance, shifting power dynamics, and ensuring AI serves the public good. It was a powerful reminder that building ethical AI requires a bottom-up approach, not just top-down policies.

A personal highlight this year was being invited to one of SXSW’s closed-door speaker roundtables. These invite-only sessions bring together a small, curated group of individuals across sectors to foster meaningful conversation and collaboration. I was in dialogue with founders, government officials, students, and academics—each offering unique perspectives on building a more just and accountable AI ecosystem.

The diversity in that room reinforced the importance of inclusive, multidisciplinary conversations when it comes to the future of AI.
