Purpose
At Humane Intelligence, our primary goal is to create inclusive communities that welcome contributors from varied and diverse backgrounds. We strive to recognize, appreciate, and respect the breadth of our global contributors.
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ability, race and/or ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, level of experience, education, religion (or lack thereof), national origin, or any other dimension of diversity. Openness, collaboration, and participation are core aspects of our work.
This code of conduct aims to foster environments where everyone feels safe to participate, introduce new ideas, and inspire others. We encourage all participants in the Humane Intelligence Community to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone.

Types of Behaviors
Expected Behaviors:
- Encourage respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.
- Promote a spirit of collaboration and community support.
- Encourage clear, considerate, and constructive communication
General Unacceptable Behavior:
- Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
- Discrimination based on the demographic attributes above is not tolerated.
- Violent behavior, threats, and intimidation are prohibited.
Severe Unacceptable Behavior:
- Behaviors that disrupt the community or make others feel unwelcome or unsafe are not acceptable.
- Violent behavior, threats, and intimidation.
- Unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or intentionally deceptive content.
- Clear and/or egregious violations of relevant laws and regulations.
Community Violation Enforcement Process
For General Unacceptable Behavior:
- First violation: the violating community member(s) will receive a written warning from Humane Intelligence.
- Second violation: the violating community member(s) will be temporarily suspended from Humane Intelligence communities.
- Third violation: the violating community member(s) will be permanently banned from Humane Intelligence communities.
For Severe Unacceptable Behavior
The violating community member(s) will be permanently banned from Humane Intelligence communities.
Note that
- In all cases when relevant, offensive content will be removed.
- Permanent bans are applicable to the community member as a person. Therefore, if a previously banned community member rejoins a Humane Intelligence community with another email, Discord handle, etc., they will be removed.
